In early January, the Center for Life Science Automation (CELISCA) at the University of Rostock had the honor of welcoming Prof. Babak Beheshti, Dean of the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). The purpose of his visit was to initiate a collaboration between the two institutions to enhance international exchange in research and education.
Discussions during the visit highlighted exciting opportunities for future cooperation. Initial focus areas include:
- Student exchanges for internships or semesters abroad,
- Summer schools to foster joint learning and research experiences,
- and the establishment of an Erasmus exchange program, enabling students and faculty from both institutions to benefit from international experience.
CELISCA looks forward to taking the next steps and is confident that this partnership will not only promote innovation and knowledge but also strengthen international collaboration and networking among students and researchers.
